everets is the singer-songwriter project of Ian Chick, who is a 21-year-old person from southern Maine. Ian has been singing since he joined his middle school’s chorus in 4th grade, but he didn’t write his first song, “arms” until 2012. He enjoys experimenting with a variety of instruments and musical styles, especially through recording covers. Ian is heavily influenced by singer-songwriters such as Regina Spektor, Gavin Castleton, and Sam Amidon, as well as the bands They Might Be Giants and The Dear Hunter. His music has been described as “experimental eclectic DIY jams,” “great,” and “good.” Ian is very excited to be here.
